Pictures From History is an online image library specialising in historical images of Asia. We also hold growing stock coverage of Africa, Antiquity, Religion, Islam and the Muslim World. Pictures From History is twinned with Pictures From Asia, an online image library specialising in contemporary images from Asia with emphasis on History and Culture.

Our main areas of coverage are East Asia, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, South Asia, the Middle East, East Africa and North Africa. Our stock library contains more than 140,000 images, more than 34,000 of which are currently available online. We continue to upload as fast as we can commensurate with good image quality.

Our growing list of CLIENTS includes top Documentary Film Makers and Distributors such as Al-Jazeera, BBC, ITV, Warner Bros, Renegade Pictures, Eos Films, Deutsche Welle, Stern, ZDF, Infocus Asia, Buffalo Pictures, and World Media Rights.
