China: Carving of Li Bing (Li Ping), depicting his role in the 16th Century Ming Dynasty novel Fengshen Yanyi ('Investiture of the Gods'). From Ping Sien Si Temple, Pasir Panjang Laut

Li Ping was a minor character from the classic Ming Dynasty novel 'Fengshen Yanyi'. Li Ping was a disciple of the immortal Lu Yue, and tried in vain to discourage him from falling into the Pestilence Trap. Together, they are both killed by Yang Ren.
