Japan: Toyotomi Hideyori, son of Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Mizuno Toshikata (1866-1908)
Toyotomi Hideyori (豊臣 秀, born September 8, 1593, precise time and place of death debated) was the son and designated successor of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the general who first united all of Japan. His mother, Yodo-dono, was the niece of Oda Nobunaga.
He was defeated in battle by Tokugawa forces at Osaka Castle in 1615 and is thought to have committed seppuku or ritual samurai suicide in the castle keep.
