Korea: The Hall Memorial Hospital (Methodist and Presbyterian) Pyongyang, early 20th century
The Hall Memorial Hospital was supported jointly by Methodists and Presbyterians, each furnishing a missionary doctor. Missionary doctors supported by two Korean physicians, two Korean graduate nurses, and one missionary nurse.
In Pyongyang, there is also the Women’s Hospital and Dispensary operated by The Women’s Foreign Missionary Society. The Hall and Women’s Hospitals ministered to a population of 1,100,000.
