Thailand: Buddhist statues adorn the Wang Na Museum in Bangkok, late-19th century.

Wang Na Museum, now the National Museum Bangkok, was opened by King Chulalongkorn, Rama V (r. 1868—1910) to exhibit the private collection of his predecessor and father, King Mongkut, Rama IV. It was originally housed inside the Grand Palace before being moved to Wang Na nearby. In 1926, it was named the 'Bangkok Museum' and subsequently developed into the National Museum Bangkok, when it came under the direction of the Department of Fine Arts in 1934.
