Vietnam: The Nine Dynastic Urns in front of the Hien Lam Pavilion, The Imperial City, The Citadel, Hue (early 20th century)

Hien Lam is a monument built to commemorate the Nguyen Dynasty within the Citadel of Hue. It was built in 1821-2 during the reign of Emperor Minh Mang (1791-1841). The shrine is 17m high, making it the tallest structure in the Citadel.

Hue was the imperial capital of the Nguyen Dynasty between 1802 and 1945. The tombs of several emperors lie in and around the city and along the Perfume River. Hue is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
